Capabilities

CRD conducts survey research for a variety of partners to gather specific data from particular populations, including businesses, employers, subject-matter experts, community members, and other stakeholders. Surveys are excellent mechanisms for collecting input, perceptions, and opinions. CRD’s neutral position and its dedication to ensuring anonymity and confidentiality make it a trusted survey administrator.

CRD also performs economic impact analyses for a wide range of partners and activities. An economic impact analysis illustrates how a specific change in a region will impact jobs, income, economic output, and tax revenue. The CRD research team also analyzes qualitative impacts, which uncover additional effects. The analyses serve as important decision-making tools and can help communicate the benefits of a course of action. Our Projects

Logan & Union Counties Wage, Benefits, & Training Survey

CRD partnered with the Logan County Chamber of Commerce and the Union County-Marysville Economic Development Partnership to conduct a wage, benefits, and training survey for Union and Logan Counties. The information contained in the report will help local public and private sector leaders in developing more competitive pay and benefit packages, identify targeted training program opportunities, and guide the development of workforce programs that meet the needs of business owners throughout the bi-county region.

TARTA Impact Analysis

The Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce engaged CRD to conduct an analysis to determine the contributions of the Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority (TARTA) to the local economy. The study provided an impact analysis of the operations, employment, and capital expenditures of TARTA on the economy of the local service area.

Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority Revolving Loan Fund (RLF)

CRD provided technical assistance to the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority on their successful $2.4 million application to the Economic Development Administration (EDA) for a CARES Act Recovery Assistance Grant to create a Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) for businesses in northwest Ohio.

Bowling Green COVID-19 Business Survey

CRD conducted a follow-up survey of Bowling Green businesses on the impacts of the pandemic and their current needs. CRD staff analyzed the survey data and compiled the results in a report.

Ohio's Creative Economy

Ohio Citizens for the Arts, a nonprofit arts advocacy organization, in partnership with CRD, commissioned a study to capture the power and impact of Ohio’s creative economies. CRD completed an economic impact analysis of the arts and creative industries in Ohio.

Bowling Green Housing Demand Analysis

CRD, in partnership with Bowling Green Economic Development, analyzed housing demand in the City of Bowling Green. CRD staff analyzed data from numerous sources and completed a survey of realtors in Bowling Green for the study.
