TESS (Chatbot)

Launched in 2020, BGSU now provides access to a mental health chatbot that is available through ImpactSolutions. Tess is available to provide emotional support, evidence-based education and delivers coping skills and strategies via text. Tess is available to employees and their families. To begin chatting, text "Hi" to 1-415-360-0023. Use the Start Code of "BGSU" when prompted to begin.

Life Events - Benefit Changes

Getting married? Having a baby? Losing health coverage for you or an eligible dependent? These are considered Life Events and make you eligible for a special enrollment period to make changes to your current benefit plan selections. The documentation needs to be uploaded and approved by HR prior to updating your plan elections online. Please take this into consideration when your deadline is approaching as HR is closed on weekends, holidays and in the evenings. If the entire event enrollment process is not completed within 30 calendar days, the coverage change will be denied. The next opportunity to make a coverage change will be during the annual open enrollment, for an effective date of January 1st. Disability Self-Identification

The Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) issued regulations that changed the way employers who do business with the government are to report workforce data, specifically regarding individuals with disabilities. The regulations mandate a good-faith effort to achieve a workforce with seven percent (7%) employees with disabilities. This is not a quota, but a goal. Please take a moment to log into myBGSU and update your disability status.
