Fresh Start for Graduate Students |
This policy revision, formerly titled Academic Forgiveness for Graduate Students, provides a pathway for graduate students to restart their academic progress. The updated policy allows students to re-enter the same or a different program, encourages but does not require a waiting period, and removes restrictive language around transfer credit to allow for greater flexibility. Students with an earned BGSU graduate credential may only apply Fresh Start to coursework taken after the credential was awarded. The revision aligns with recent updates to the Leave of Absence and Grade Replacement policies and supports student success through a more holistic and equitable approach. |

Fundraising |
This policy clarifies the requirement and parameters for all philanthropic gifts and fundraising activities that benefit BGSU to be received by the BGSU Foundation Inc. and coordinated through the Division of University Advancement. The policy includes a link to the BGSU Foundation’s Gift Acceptance, Counting, and Reporting Policy, which was approved by the Foundation Board on April 22, 2022, and reviewed by the Board of Trustees Joint Development Committee prior to final approval. |

Public Records Policy for Law Enforcement Video Records |
Effective April 9, 2025, public agencies are authorized to charge fees for access to police body camera footage. This policy outlines the process requesters must follow, including requirements for prepayment and details the types of factors that can be considered when determining cost of reviewing and providing footage. Requesters are advised that no footage will be reviewed until the required prepayment is received, and no footage will be released until the full balance is paid in full. |

Pursuant to Ohio Revised Code 3345.45, adopt a policy prohibiting and affirming specific activities to ensure intellectual diversity and non-discrimination. The University must also utilize a process established under Ohio Revised Code 3345.0215(C) by which any student, student group, or faculty member may submit a complaint about an alleged violation of this policy. |
